ASSOCIATES
Associates are
those who support the programs and the work that Equine Experience does. They
want to learn more about the growth of the organization and what is happening.
They want to read about success stories. But most of all, they want to be
a part of something that is bringing joy and support to those who would not
have a chance without their help. Associates show their belief in the benefit
of horses to the emotional health of humans!
Not all of our
Associates are interested in volunteering, but all of our volunteers must
be Associates. Equine Experience works largely with children, and as such
we feel it is important for us to recognize and keep track of who is working
with children under our umbrella. From a positive standpoint, it helps us
see how many volunteers we have in any area, where we need to work to recruit
new ones, and what programs need more help. It helps us link volunteers to
new programs who need more help, but who have yet to develop a solid volunteer
base, and when a volunteer moves to a new area, it helps us provide a smooth
transition in their volunteer activities with new programs. It also helps
us keep track of volunteers and spot patterns that might indicate potential
dangers to our children. We are happy to say we have never had a problem,
but we believe that any effort we can make is well worth it.

When
you join, a welcome letter and feedback form will be sent via email, which
gives you the opportunity to imput your ideas, and let us know what areas
of Equine Experience are of interest to you.
Volunteers may help on one or more levels:
- They may help with the students, the horses,
- They may help by promoting Equine-Experience in their community and with their friends. See HELP US!
- They may help us with fundraising.
- They may help in promoting Equine-Experience within their community by contacting groups, churches, the local media, and schools. Increased awareness alone makes our job easier.
If you are interested in volunteering in any way, please email us or put a note on your feedback form.
Since many of our students who are the most in need of our programs, do not have the means to afford the program, we are constantly looking for help in raising money. Many horse clubs have helped us by organizing such things as benefit trail rides or cookouts. Churches have helped us to raise money for the children of their community.
Whether you are organizing community events, talking to your friends and neighbors to make a sponsor donation, or working with your company to become a supporter, we thank you for your help and will work closely with you to make sure your efforts are successful.
